UPSRTC: Connecting Communities Through the Power of Roadways

CASE DESCRIPTION

‍

An on-ground video production project showcasing how UPSRTC connects underserved communities across Uttar Pradesh through accessible and reliable public transport.

ABOUT CASE

‍

Social Noon travelled to villages and smaller towns across Uttar Pradesh to capture real commuters and authentic stories of connectivity. Through on-location filming, we highlighted UPSRTC’s impact on everyday journeys and its inclusive transport provisions for women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. The film aimed to raise awareness of the services available and the role UPSRTC plays in making public transport more accessible.

‍

CHALLENGE

‍

Showcasing real-world impact: Communicate how UPSRTC connects villages and smaller towns across Uttar Pradesh, particularly in regions with limited alternative transport options.
‍

Moving beyond numbers: Go beyond routes, statistics, and service details to show how public transport makes a difference in people's everyday lives.
‍

Capturing authentic stories: Present real commuters and their experiences in a natural, relatable way, avoiding staged scenes or overly promotional storytelling.
‍

Highlighting inclusive transport: Bring attention to the facilities and provisions available for women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities, including applicable free-fare benefits for eligible senior citizens.
‍

Building public awareness: Make people more aware of UPSRTC's services, accessibility provisions, and the role it plays in connecting communities across the state.
‍

Filming on the ground: Capture the story directly from the villages and towns being served, requiring on-location production, coordination with local communities, and careful planning across multiple locations.

‍

CASE APPROACH

‍

On-Ground Storytelling: We travelled to villages and smaller towns across Uttar Pradesh to capture UPSRTC's impact where it matters most, documenting real journeys and everyday experiences.
‍

Real People, Real Stories: Instead of using actors or stock footage, we featured actual commuters to make the film relatable, authentic, and rooted in lived experiences.
‍

End-to-End Video Production: From identifying shoot locations and planning logistics to coordinating with local communities, we managed the production process on the ground.
‍

Highlighting Inclusive Policies: We incorporated UPSRTC's provisions for women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities, bringing attention to the facilities and eligible fare benefits available to commuters.
‍

Impact-Driven Narrative: We shaped the film around the larger role of public transport in connecting underserved regions, making the story about more than buses and routes.
‍

Awareness-Focused Execution: Every visual and narrative element was designed to make UPSRTC's services and public welfare initiatives easier to understand, helping the film communicate its value beyond conventional promotional messaging.

‍

CASE GOAL

‍

The goal was to raise awareness of UPSRTC’s role in connecting underserved communities across Uttar Pradesh while highlighting its inclusive transport services and public welfare initiatives through an authentic, on-ground film.
‍

The focus was to make people understand not just where UPSRTC operates, but how its services make everyday travel more accessible and reliable for the people who depend on them.
